Craw are an underground band from Cleveland, Ohio, initially active from 1988 through 2002 and newly active as of 2015. Their sound touches on metal, post-hardcore, progressive rock and jazz, while remaining distinct from any one movement. After forming at Case Western Reserve, craw amassed a local following, and during the mid-to-late ’90s, they toured North America frequently, sharing bills with bands such as the Jesus Lizard, Melvins and Neurosis. From 1993 through 2002, craw released four full-length albums.

In 2015, Northern Spy Records reissued the first three craw albums as a deluxe limited-edition box set. In 2016, all seven members who appeared on craw's four studio albums reunited for two special shows in Cleveland and NYC, respectively.
